EV CHARGING STATIONS FOR YOUR HOME
BUYING AND INSTALLING AN EV CHARGING STATION IN YOUR HOME
WHEN AND WHY TO GET A LEVEL 2 EV CHARGING STATION
There are 3 levels of Electric Vehicle & Plug-in Hybrid charging, only Level 1 and Level 2 are suitable for at home charging. A Level 1 charger usually comes with your electric car which means there is no extra cost. It feeds 120 volts and can be plugged into any standard household outlet.

A Level 1 charger, however, simply can’t provide adequate charging for anyone who has either:

A fully electric vehicle with short driving range, low battery capacity, or low maximum acceptance rate

or Longer-than-average daily commute using your electric car as your primary vehicle

or No time or opportunity to recharge their cars during the day

While Level 1 charging is painfully slow and can take an entire day to fully charge an EV, Level 2 charging station feeds 240 volts and can charge up to 10 times faster. With a Level 2 charger, stopping at home for a couple of hours can extend your travel substantially.

If you live and work at a place that provides EV charging, you could probably get by with a Level 1 charger. But in other cases, installing a Level 2 home charging station is just about essential — You can leave your Level 1 charger in your cars at all times in case of emergency, and enjoy the convenience and flexibility of having a faster, smarter state-of-the-art Level 2 charging station right at your home.

Placement & Mounting

Where you want to situate your charging station is entirely up to you, and the condition of your property. We can install it in your garage (wall mount), or install it to accommodate outdoor parking (pedestal mount). If trenching is needed, our crew will take care of it.

Electrical Work

Besides the standard electrical work required, if any of your electrical components are too old or not strong enough to accommodate the EV(s) you own or are looking to purchase, our licensed electrician will replace it for you at time of installation or upgrade it in the future with extra cost.

Warranty

All of the EV Charging Stations we offer come with a 3-year manufacturer’s warranty. On top of that, we also provide a 5-year workmanship warranty even for all of our EV Charging customer including those of you who are bringing your own EV charger for us to install.

No matter which EV/PHEV you have, we will help choose an EV charging station that will match your car, your daily travel needs and the availability of charging stations on your commute so that you don’t have to waste hours trying to get back on the road when your car battery is low.
