The Mackeys live in the beautiful town of Keene in the midst of the Adirondack High Peaks. “We’ve always wanted a solar system, but our last house wasn’t set up well for it, neither was the yard,” Beth Mackey explains. “So when we moved here, it was on the list of things to do.”
The Mackeys were then connected Apex Solar through their friends who had gone solar with the company. After hearing the positive experience their friends had with Apex, the Mackeys decided to start their own green energy journey by utilizing the unused portion of their driveway for a standard ground-mounted solar array.
“From the first point of contact to the installation, everything was seamless and taken care off. We felt confident working with everyone at Apex and we had a great experience.”
Beth adds, “The installers worked so fast, and they were all very kind to our kids.”
Beth remarks how she and her husband had always thought that solar was beyond their reach financially before they went solar with Apex, but soon realized that it wasn’t the case at all since all they are doing is trading their electric bill for solar payments.
“Our system stands as a reminder to others that this is something achievable up here (in the Northeast),” Beth says. “We have a responsibility to take action – not just talk about climate change but actually do something that will make a difference.”
